Those Thoughts: Meditations on Life, Beauty, Pain, and Wanting to Be a Mermaid

Hannah Haas (“Ohana” to fans of her music) lived only until age 20 but left behind a beautiful, searing body of work that includes Hannah’s incredible poems, lyrics, photographs, and artwork. Those Thoughts is a collection of just some of her moving words and images, now shared with the public for the first time. Her works relay accounts of life, love, beauty, pain and her heroic attempts to heal and to express herself. Hannah wrote as a kind of therapy, but also, as she said, “to share my experiences and possibly give some validation and indirect support to those who have also been broken like me.” While Hannah’s battle against her eating disorder unfortunately ended with her passing at age 20, her legacy endures.
